About this Dog
My name is Quinn Deahl. I rescued Dozer from a work colleague in May 2021 when I learned he was being mistreated when I dog sat for him one weekend and saw him being smacked by his owners. This was at the end of my sophomore year in college when he was 1.5 and he had not been neutered and had no vaccinations since he was with his breeder. His allergies came within a couple months of getting him and I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars on different foods, medications, vet appointments. I got allergy testing for him after trying to manage his allergies through pills for a year. Knowing his allergies really helped me figure out the right food for him, but the vet is also recommending allergy shots. I am in law school, and I had to take a leave of absence this semester due to health issues. My health care team is planning inpatient treatment for me. I will have to give up my housing and I need to surrender Dozer. I am unable to rehome him to my friends or parents. Dozer does not mix well with other dogs due to not being socialized with them before I got him. He is super curious about them but is just way too energetic for my parents’ dogs when we visit. My parents are helping me in this process because it’s just too much for me emotionally and medically. They will take care of rehoming fees and make a donation to go towards his medication. They will also provide a bag of his dog food.

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Dozer's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Dozer was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Dozer’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
