About this Cat
Dewlanna is a beautiful longhaired female Torbie/Tabby! She was found just outside of Evansdale, and was probably dumped. A kind lady took her in and contacted Evansdale animal control. Dewlanna is a wonderful Momma - she came into LHAR in mid-March 2023, with kittens just a few days old, and also ended up about a week later being a surrogate to a couple other abandoned kittens. When she came to her foster home, she was so afraid, and cowered if anyone tried to pet her, so holding her was out of the question. *** Fast forward to June 2023... Thanks to a very special young girl, Dewlanna started to come out of her shell and she finally let us pet her head and face, and within a short period of time she trusted her foster family enough to let them pet her all over! She started to enjoy life and really turned into an incredibly loving kitty and there was no turning back for her! .............................................................................................................. Dewlanna kittens have all been adopted! Dewlanna was spayed and was given her FVRCP and rabies vaccinations; she was microchipped and was tested for FeLV/FIV. Thankfully she was negative for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) but she did test positive for FIV. FIV is the Feline Immune Deficiency Virus, but don't let that scare you; you can research this topic online as there is a lot of valuable and interesting information to read through to learn about this virus. It is not easily spread and they can live in harmony with other FIV+ cats; however, you will need to keep an eye on her for any signs of illness as she would need to be seen ASAP by your veterinarian. The Iowa Humane Alliance noted on her medical paperwork that she had early stomatitis present and was missing all her incisors, as well as an ulcerated mass in her mouth due to bacteria in her mouth. It was removed when cleaned with chlorhexidine and she was given an antibiotic injection of Polyflex to help address dental concerns. Upon receiving that news, LHAR got her in to our local partner veterinarian office and she had several teeth pulled and other dental work done! She's been doing well and is not on any medication, and currently has no health concerns. She eats both hard and soft food. Dewlanna has been fostered in a home with lots of other kitties - from kittens to adults, and there are friends and family members - including little kids who visit often, so she's used to commotion and has decided to be a sweet and loving girl! She still isn't a real lap cat, but she loves to sleep right next to you and she LOVES attention when you first go to bed! She runs and plays with the cats/kittens and enjoys playing with toys, too! (Dogs are unknown) SO... If you have room in your heart and your home, please consider giving this beauty a loving home! Dewlanna's’s adoption fee is $85. Last Hope requires all pets in the adopters home are always kept current on vaccinations and are seen yearly for wellness exams with the family veterinarian, and they must be kept as indoor pets only. Potential adopters must be at least 21 years old to adopt an animal. If you are interested in meeting sweet Dewlanna, please fill out an application on our website at www.adopthope.org.

Adopt Dewlanna and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Dewlanna's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Dewlanna's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Dewlanna, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Dewlanna's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Dewlanna was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Dewlanna’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Dewlanna’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Dewlanna’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
