My name is Elsie and I am a black tabby & cream domestic mediumhair. I am a spayed female and I am 11 months old. I am here because I was given up by my owner on 07/23/2025 due to the fact the other pet in the home didn't want me around. I am good with other cats, but I am VERY high energy! My kitty friends in the home are a little shy, and I didn't take `no` for an answer very well when I wanted to play. My family really, really tried to help us all find a way to get along, but I was just too much for them. So I'd like to find a family where I can have a friend and I wrestle and play with!I am a good kitty who uses the litterbox! I am a high energy cat and I can live with an owner with no prior pet owning experience. I do not have a history of trying to escape the home, but the shelter staff always recommends owners be mindful that I do not accidentally sneak out on their way out the door. I can be good with men, women, and children. I can be good with other cats and I can be good with dogs.*Elsie is very sweet and loving, but is VERY active. She'll be happiest in a home with other active cats she can play and wrestle with. When she's wrestled with friends and has her energy burned off, she is the sweetest most snuggly girl!*

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and ELSIE was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, ELSIE’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the ELSIE’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, ELSIE’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
