About this Dog
***Dood and Coco are a bonded pair and MUST be adopted together.***My name is Dood and I am a white & cream bichon frise/maltese. I am a neutered male and I am 6 years and 10 months old. I am here because I was given up by my owner on 08/15/2025 due to the fact my owner did not have time to care for me anymore. They were my family for 6 years. I am used to staying inside during the day and inside during the night. I am potty trained. I am a low energy dog and I can live with an owner with no prior pet owning experience. I am not used to being left in a crate. and I am great about walking nicely on leash. I would do well with simple obedience training to help us bond and for us to learn how to communicate with each other. I do not have a history of trying to escape the home or yard, but the shelter staff always recommends owners be mindful that I do not accidentally get out a door or escape the yard. I would like a standard height fence to help keep me inside the yard. I can be good with men, women, and children. I can be good with cats and I can be good with other dogs.My owner said: `Coco is a little more shy than Dood and takes a while to warm up. They are both very sweet with their people and very loving.`

100% of DOOD's balance will be sent to whoever adopts DOOD.
Adopt DOOD and Receive DOOD's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, DOOD's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is DOOD's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the DOOD, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming DOOD's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and DOOD was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, DOOD’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the DOOD’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, DOOD’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
