About this Dog
GEORGIA NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Come meet Georgia and other great adoptable dogs this Saturday (June 8th) from 11 am - 4 pm at the Paws on the Plaza in Tysons (1961 Chain Bridge Rd, McLean, VA 22101)! Name: Georgia Best Guess for Breed: Shepherd/Terrier Mix Best Guess for Age: 3 months as of May 2024 SEX: female Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!): 9 pounds as of May 14, 2024 Gets Along With: Most puppies are in the prime of their socialization window and will do well with other dogs, cats and kids so long as they receive patience and proper training.; She has spent sometime with kids and has done well! Additionally, we have tested Georgia with some of the cats at the adoption event, and she did not seem particularly interested in chasing or pouncing on the cat. While this is a positive sign that Georgia could live with a cat, she has not done so to our knowledge. If you have cats in your home, we are happy to discuss with you how to best introduce a new pup to your pack! Currently Living at: DC area foster home Check out how Georgia has been doing in her foster home on Instagram: @maisysfostering Special Adoption Considerations: Puppies under 6 months of age need to have multiple potty breaks/exercise throughout the day. Potential adopters with a standard 8-hour workday must be willing to make arrangements to meet the needs of their puppy. Georgia is Looking For: Hiya! I'm Georgia! Me and my sisters, Gracie and Gerdie, loved our time in the puppy pile and they both have found their homes, but I'm still looking! I want a home that will let me play with toys and get my puppy zoomies out and give me snuggles in between playtimes. I can't wait to explore my new neighborhood on lots of walks, and I'd really like to make a bunch of doggie friends along the way. Oh, and I should probably take a puppy obedience class or two so I can show you how smart I am and earn lots of treats. What do you say? Do you have room in your heart for me? What My Foster Says About Me: Georgia is the sweetest, spunkiest puppy!! She has so much personality and is a major goof. She loves to take walks, but especially loves taking breaks and sitting in the grass just taking in the big wide world. I have yet to take a single walk with her that didn't include people asking to say hi and meet her. She's done super great with my resident dog! When my dog says no, she takes the cue really well and hops away to a nearby toy. She's been great meeting dogs on walks too and respecting their boundaries when they set them. She's also done super well with kids! Georgia is SO spunky and loves to explore. She seems to have no fear and is very sure of herself but also super eager to please! Super food motivated and already knows how to sit. She's slept through the night in her crate. We are so in love with her!! She is going to be such an amazing pup for anyone looking for their new best friend! Puppy Vetting Requirements: Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog. Due to this puppy’s young age, she/he has not yet been spayed or neutered. As part of the adoption contract, it will be your responsibility, as the adopter, to ensure that this is done no later than August 27, 2024. There are NO EXCEPTIONS and NO EXTENSIONS to this date. A non-refundable spay/neuter deposit will be collected if you would like Lucky Dog to pay for this animal to be spayed/neutered at one of our low cost partner vets. Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog! TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this puppy is $485, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter. Adopt Georgia and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Georgia's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Georgia's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Georgia, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Georgia's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Georgia was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Georgia’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."
Dogecoin sets itself apart from other digital currencies with an amazing, vibrant community made up of friendly folks just like you. Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online.

We want the Georgia’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Georgia’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
