About this Dog
GRIZZLY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!! Come meet Grizzly and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (June 9th) from 12-3 pm at the Petsmart in Rockville (5154 Nicholson Ln, Kensington, MD 20895)! Name: Grizzly Best Guess for Breed: Shepherd/Retriever mix Best Guess for Age: 1 year as of April 2024 SEX: Male Approximate Weight: 29 pounds Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with kids or cats but he can be tested. Currently Living at: DC area foster home. Special adoption considerations: Grizzly is a truly Lucky Dog! He tested positive for Heartworm disease but has already been treated! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets, but results from mosquito bites. Heartworm, if left untreated, is life threatening, but after treatment, dogs that were heartworm positive should suffer no significant long-term effects so long as they are kept on a monthly heartworm preventative. We are happy to talk more in depth about heartworm disease and treatment during the adoption counseling process. Grizzly is Looking For: His forever home! He has enjoyed growing up with his brother Woody and sister Cee Cee, but now they're ready to split ip and get their own human families! Grizzly is eager to start his new chapter in the DC area. Getting his own humans for long sniffy walks, romps in the park, and all the adventures they can dream up - yes, please! Exploring all the toys to see what he likes best! Quality kibble and a cushy dog bed! Most of all, however, he wants to know he's safe and loved and under his own roof for all his days. In exchange, he promises adoring gazes, happy tail wags, and loyal companionship. What do you say? Is he the one you see trotting by your side? What My Foster Says About Me: Grizzly is a sweet and loving dog with a playful personality. He can be a little shy at first with new people, but once he is comfortable he is such a loving boy. When Grizzly gets outside, he loves to play wrestle and run around with dogs of all sizes but also knows when to take a break. He's done very well playing with other dogs. He's been quiet in the crate and seems to sleep through the night. Seems to know the outside is where to do his business. He's such a sweet dog who will be a great addition to anyone's family! Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $475, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment. Adopt Grizzly and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Grizzly's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Grizzly's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Grizzly, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Grizzly's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Grizzly was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Grizzly’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."
Dogecoin sets itself apart from other digital currencies with an amazing, vibrant community made up of friendly folks just like you. Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online.
Learn more about it on youtube or at dogecoin.com.
We want the Grizzly’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Grizzly’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
