About this Dog
PINCHO NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Come meet Pincho and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (June 9th) from 12-3 pm at the Petsmart in Rockville (5154 Nicholson Ln, Kensington, MD 20895)! Name: Pincho Best Guess for Breed: Shepherd and terrier mix Best Guess for Age: 2 years as of January 2024 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 36.5 lbs Gets Along With: Pincho does well with other dogs! She has done well with the children she has met; however, she has not lived with them to our knowledge. Since she is a little shy, she would do best in a home with children over the age of 12. We have also tested her with cats at the shelter and she simply ignored them. That is a good indicator she could do well with cats; however, she has not lived with them to our knowledge. We will be happy to discuss with you how to add a new pup to your pack if you have cats! Currently Living at: DC area foster home Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. Pincho is Looking For: Her forever home! This sweetie was rescued in Puerto Rico and she's eager to start her new chapter in the DC area. Getting her own humans for long sniffy walks, romps in the park, and all the adventures they can dream up - yes, please! Exploring all the toys to see what she likes best! Quality kibble and a cushy dog bed! Most of all, however, she wants to know she's safe and loved and under her own roof for all her days. In exchange, she promises adoring gazes, happy tail wags, and loyal companionship. What do you say? Is Pincho the companion you can see trotting by your side? What My Foster Says About Me: "Pincho is an absolute gem! She is the sweetest, most gentle and loving girl. She is a mature and relaxed dog.Likes naps and kisses. Pincho is sweet and gentle with our whole family. She is doing well walking on leash without pulling. She is also quickly learning to relieve herself outside with positive reinforcement and has had very few accidents. Pincho is also easy going with other dogs when we are out on walks. She has also been fine with our dog at home." Foster update 2/26: "Pincho is a wonderful dog. She is a loving, sweet girl who often approaches for a pet or snuggle. We have fostered Pincho for the past 6 weeks and she has blended well in our home. While she was at first shy, she built her confidence quickly. She plays well with our other dog and our foster dog. She also loves lying by your side as you work or sit on the couch. She has a nice balanced energy. She is wonderful on the leash and does not pull. She loves her time outside and would be thrilled to go on hikes or long walks with her new family. Pincho is also a smarty pants! She loves playing tug of war and has quickly figured out that if you return the ball it gets tossed right back to you! She is mature and trustworthy in our home. She sleeps in a dog bed next to us and happily falls asleep on the warm cushion. She was easily house trained and we have had no accidents in the past month. Pincho barks very little, occasionally at a squirrel or deer, but not much. Overall, she is such an amazing dog! Being a shy girl, she does better when building confidence in a home or neighborhood. Please give this beautiful girl a chance, she will reward you with full time loyalty and love!" Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. Adopt Pincho and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Pincho's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Pincho's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Pincho, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Pincho's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Pincho was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Pincho’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Pincho’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Pincho’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
