About this Dog

This is Tilly! She's 6 now, born early-mid November 2017. We know that she's part pit from her mom, and we think Aussie Shepherd based on her eyes and fur. She LOVES to run and play, tug is one of her favorites... but she won't let you win. She's always been a bit anxious, and doesn't like water, fireworks, or going to the vet. But she loves cuddles and will snuggle up for as long as she can. She's been a big part of our lives and brought us so much joy, but we're looking for a loving home who can give her the attention and time she deserves. She does have allergies so she rarely gets any table food (aside from the occasional bacon) and with a toddler we struggle with keeping every dropped crumb out of her reach. Her biggest food allergies are peas, oats, peanuts, and eggs - we have the allergy panel that we can share. We've found inexpensive treats and food that she can have, and use baby shampoo for baths since a lot of dog shampoos have oat for their skin. She's also always done well with children, until we had our daughter. Despite following suggestions on preparing a dog for a baby and introducing them, she doesn't seem comfortable around our daughter and has both growled and snapped at her. Since she's always been great with other little kids, it seemed like she just wasn't sure of her place in the family anymore despite trying to bring them together. The ideal home would be with someone who would love, cuddle, and play with her, and be able to better manage her allergies so that she is comfortable. Bonus points for somewhere with lots of room for zoomies!

Adopt Tilly and Receive Dogecoin

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Tilly's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

How will Tilly receive the Dogecoin?

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Tilly, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Tilly's Dogecoin here.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.

The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Tilly was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Tilly’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

What happens to unclaimed funds?

We want the Tilly’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Tilly’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
