Born Jan 4, 2024 German Shepherd/Pyrenees mix Leia is a quick learner and very energetic. Leia is a playful medium sized pup that needs a good sized secure yard to wear off some of her energy. Leia's first love is the pool. It is always the first place she dashes to when released from her kennel. She is very sweet and loves to interact with people as well as dogs. She will pick up a toy and tease the bigger dogs into trying to take it from her. When we have cats at the shelter, Leia will observe the cats in the outdoor cage each time she is in the yard. When the cat left, Leia continued to visit the cattery looking for it. This girl will make a loving companion. She will require no grooming. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Leia was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Leia’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Leia’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Leia’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
