Hello I’m reaching out in hopes that your rescue might be the miracle we’ve been searching for. I’m trying to find a safe and loving permanent placement for two incredibly bonded dogs, Pheonix and Dyshiki. They're approximately 4-year-old mixed-breed boys (with some pit and German Shepherd in their lineage), and they’ve spent every moment of their lives together. They truly are each other’s emotional anchor—and separating them simply isn’t an option. Meet Pheonix: A sweet brindle baby with a soft soul. He loves stuffies (and doesn’t destroy them!), enjoys gentle play, and speaks both English and Spanish. He knows all his basic commands, is decent on a leash (still learning leash pressure), and is fully potty trained. His only quirk is a turkey intolerance, but otherwise he’s a low-maintenance lovebug. Meet Dyshiki: He’s a handsome, strong boy with classic GSD coloring. He’s more vocal than his brother (his firetruck howl will make you smile), and while he doesn’t do well with other dogs, he absolutely adores Pheonix. He can be destructive with soft toys, but not with blankets—go figure! Like his brother, he’s potty trained and incredibly loyal. They really are the best boys. They give kisses and are sweet kind and so funny. They are so, so loved, but they deserve more than a cot and a temporary life. Unfortunately, here in Indianapolis, most of our shelters are either kill shelters or will not attempt to adopt them out together. I’m not willing to let them be separated or risk losing one just to place the other. I have held onto them for two years but I simply cannot do it anymore for their own well-being they deserve a home and its not here in Indiana. Please, if there’s any way your rescue can help—whether it’s through intake, a bonded foster placement, or networking them—we would be forever grateful. They deserve a soft bed, love, and safety—together. I am so Desperate and can't take them to the shelters here for there is no where that will help them . Thank you for taking the time to read this. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and dyckiki was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, dyckiki’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the dyckiki’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, dyckiki’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
