About this Dog
Meet Kiva – A Resilient Soul with a Heart of Gold Kiva is a beautiful Treeing Walker Coonhound who came to us as an emaciated stray. Despite all she’s been through, Kiva’s spirit remains unshaken—she is truly one of the sweetest girls you’ll ever meet. Now on her road to recovery, Kiva is looking for a calm, quiet foster home where she can rest, heal, and feel safe. She walks beautifully on a leash, gives the best hugs, and has quickly become a favorite among the kennel techs for her gentle, loving nature. If you can offer Kiva a peaceful place to continue her healing journey, she’ll reward you with endless affection and unwavering gratitude. If you can offer a temporary foster home, please complete a foster application at ITVrescue.org.All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated, if necessary.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Kiva (KÄ«-vuh) was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Kiva (KÄ«-vuh)’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Kiva (KÄ«-vuh)’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Kiva (KÄ«-vuh)’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
