About this Dog
Say hello to Sara, a lovely 6-year-old black and white pit bull mix with a heart as big as her beautiful smile. Found as a stray, Sara is now looking for a forever home where she can finally relax and be cherished.Sara is a gentle soul who already knows a few good manners â sheâs got âsitâ and âshakeâ down pat! She thrives with human connection and would love nothing more than to be your shadow around the house, soaking up attention and offering quiet companionship. She would do best in a home where she can be the only pet â she prefers the company of people over other animals. Sara doesnât engage in play with other dogs and would rather avoid their company altogether. Sheâs also a bit too curious about cats, so we recommend a feline-free home.Because of her size and strength, we suggest she be placed in a home with children 10 years and older who can respect her space and help her feel safe and loved.Sara may not be the dog-park type, but if youâre looking for a loyal, mellow best friend who will be happy just hanging out with you, Sara is your girl.Ready to meet this sweet soul? Come see if you and Sara are meant to be. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is SPONSORED.

Adopt SARA and Receive SARA's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, SARA's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is SARA's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the SARA, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming SARA's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and SARA was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, SARA’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the SARA’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, SARA’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
