With his striking coat and soulful eyes, this handsome gentleman is sure to steal your heart.Sticks is our longest term resident who came to us after the loss of his beloved ownerâa man he was deeply bonded toâand while the transition has been tough, heâs now ready to open his heart again. He tends to gravitate toward men, but with time and affection, he bonds deeply with anyone who shows him love.This velcro dog is the definition of loyal. He lives for companionshipânudging your hand for pets, leaning in for snuggles, and happily trotting by your side. Sticks is housetrained, walks well on a leash, and absolutely adores his daily strolls and car rides. Whether it's a quiet walk around the neighborhood or a ride in the passenger seat, heâs just happy to be with you.Heâs previously lived with both dogs and cats and would be thrilled to share his home with a furry friend or two again. While heâs gentle and affectionate, a little continued obedience work will help build his confidence even more.Sticks would do best in a calm, loving home with an adopter who will give him the patience and reassurance he needs to settle in. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and STICKS was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, STICKS’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the STICKS’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, STICKS’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
