About this Dog
Mystery is a stray dog that showed up on my porch a week ago, felt safe and hasn’t left. He’s so sweet and you can tell he just wants to be loved. He doesn’t seem to have any training but listens pretty well after being told a few times. Examples being jumping/standing to greet you or getting up on our patio furniture. He’s never acted aggressive towards me or my daughter but is very timid/nervous. I have bathed him and touched all over without any type of reaction except uncertainty from him. The first few days he wasn’t on any type of leash or tether but then he finally saw our chickens and cats and he likes to give chase!! I have him tethered now and we walk him around a few times throughout the day but he always hurries back to the porch. I think he would thrive as a single pet with a fenced in yard where he could give chase to squirrels or bunnies but be stopped by a boundary and then return to a porch/patio/deck where he feels safe. I don’t feel farm life is for him. I wish I could keep him but I have too many other animals that I must consider. I’d hate for him to just sit in a shelter without personal interaction or affection as it’s obvious that’s what he craves so I’m hoping there’s someone who’s looking for a loyal bud who will snuggle and ignore all rules of personal space. Mystery will be your guy for sure. (Named by my daughter as everything about this little dude is a mystery 😊)

How will Mystery receive the contribution?
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Mystery, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Mystery's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Mystery was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Mystery’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Mystery’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Mystery’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
