About this Dog
Daisy is a 7 year old female Bichon who weighs in at 12 pounds. This dog's adoption fee is $450. If you are still interested, please read more below. Daisy spent her life in a puppy mill. She is learning about the ways of the world outside of the only life she knew. Since coming to ARF she has made a lot of progress! She is a dainty, affectionate girl who wants to come to you on her terms and then likes to be the main recipient of your attention. Daisy is not crazy about larger dogs. She will likely do ok with another small dog. She gets along fine with cats. Daisy is looking for a patient home where she can have the time to adjust and bond with her human(s). If given a patient, gentle, kind approach Daisy will form an attachment to you. In her current foster home, she follows her foster mom everywhere and gets so excited when she sees her -- wags her tail 100 miles an hour and runs around like crazy when her foster mom gets home. She is still unsure of her foster dad, so Daisy may do best in a female household. She is not a fan of being picked up, so ARF requests no young children. She is timid with any new people. Daisy is now 95% housetrained. She prefers to potty outside in her own backyard and is still learning to let you know when she needs to go. Daisy does best when taken out on a regular schedule. She prefers to do her potty business in the backyard where she feels comfortable, rather than on walks. Her new home will need a backyard – it doesn’t have to be fenced, but should be a space she can get comfortable in. When outside, Daisy is looking for safety and security - she is content in the backyard but still fears the outside world. Her foster takes her on longer walks each day and she is gradually becoming braver and more curious. Daisy enjoys sitting inside in the sun and looking out the window. Since coming to her foster home she learned how to go up and down stairs and does them with no problem now. She doesn’t bark much at all. Daisy doesn’t mind being left alone and is doing well with free roam of the house. She is extremely loyal and will be at the window when you leave. She will learn your schedule and waits by the window to greet you when you come home. If you are home, Daisy likes to be by you. She is not a lap dog and instead prefers to be on the couch by you or on the floor next to you. Do you have it in your heart to open your home to Daisy? If you do, she will become your loyal companion! Daisy is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, and housetrained when kept on schedule. This dog's family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing. A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you are interested in adopting this dog, fill out an Online Application today! Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.

Adopt Daisy and Receive Daisy's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Daisy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Daisy's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Daisy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Daisy's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Daisy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Daisy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Daisy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Daisy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
