Hi! I’m Bix. I’m a sweet cutie looking to be your perfect kitten! I’m playful and I love to be pet and snuggled. People are big and I am very small, so I’m still learning to be confident while around people and asking for pets without bribes. I would like to go home with another kitten or young cat, but I’d prefer someone around my age. I’ve never met a dog, so I would need a very gradual introduction to any canine siblings in the home. I would be okay with respectful kids as I’m a fairly calm kitten, but I do get startled sometimes. We encourage you to consider adopting kittens in pairs! There are several reasons why Bix would do good with a friend, including: -Two kittens keep each other entertained as they will play and get all their energy out on each other in time for snuggles with you! -Having two kittens to play with each other prevents "I'm lonely and bored" behavioral issues. -Watching two kittens wrestle is quite possibly the cutest thing you will ever see. -The kittens will teach each other "how to cat" and learn to be more social with humans and people. -You'll save two lives instead of one! Bix is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, spayed, and litter box trained. Bix’s adoption fee is $165. Please note A.R.F. does not approve applications for any kitten under 6 months of age to families that live outside of Illinois and/or beyond 100 miles of Wheaton or Glen Ellyn, IL. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Bix's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Bix was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Bix’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Bix’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Bix’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
