I’m Kleya and I’m the snuggliest little sweetie when you can catch me! When I’m not frolicking with my siblings or hunting sparkle balls, you might find me watching you from the shadows. As soon as one hiding spot is compromised, I sprint to the next ready to pounce on an unsuspecting mouse or feather toy. I sometimes use my unparalleled stealth to sneak sips from human water cups. After my adventures, I usually like to find my siblings for a cuddle pile. I’ve recently discovered that humans are excellent snugglers, so I sometimes ditch my siblings to steal some scritches before I settle down for my nap. I’m looking for a home where I can gain confidence and come out of my shell. My ideal family is ready to coax me out from my hidey-holes with play time and affection. I need my humans to be predictable and understanding of my boundaries, so I would not be a good fit for a family with younger children unless they’re experienced with cats. I would like to go home with another cat around my age, but an older cat is okay as long as they’re good at sharing toys. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Kleya was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Kleya’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Kleya’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Kleya’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
