About this Dog
Benji is an adorable, sweet, affectionate, and playful 4 1/2 year old unneutered male Bernedoodle. He is fully up to date on all shots. His owner brought him home as a puppy, but is now moving to a senior residence that does not accept dogs, so Benji needs a new home by August 25th. Benji’s current home has a large fenced backyard where he happily runs around and plays by himself. Because he is usually let out into his own yard, he seldom goes on actual walks, but he does walk well on the leash. While he hasn’t met a lot of other dogs (and has never met a cat), he interacts well with the resident dogs when he occasionally stays at a pet sitter. Benji has had very little experience with children, but is enthusiastic and friendly when he meets new adults (although sometimes he takes a few minutes to warm up when he meets a new male). Benji has had basic dog training but still has a tendency to jump up when greeting people he knows (he will stop when corrected). His only concerning behavior is that he will occasionally steal a napkin and then growling/running away if you take it away. Otherwise, he is a delightful companion and will do very well in a new home.

How will this dog receive the contribution?
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the this dog, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming this dog's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and this dog was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, this dog’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the this dog’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, this dog’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
