Your new pint-sized shadow and professional snuggler! Cosmo is a 5.5-year-old Chihuahua and King Cavalier Spaniel mix with a heart full of love and a perfectly portable 13-pound frame. This sweet little guy absolutely adores people and thrives when he’s near his humans—whether that means curling up next to you on the couch or bouncing around in a playful mood. Cosmo isn’t a fan of leash walks, so he’s hoping for a home with a secure, fenced-in yard where he can safely explore and enjoy the outdoors on his own terms. He gets along just fine with other small dogs, but big dogs aren’t really his vibe—he prefers a gentler crowd. Cosmo wears a belly band in the house, as he occasionally still marks—something that's easily managed and may continue to improve with routine and consistency. Truth be told, Cosmo would be perfectly content as your one and only—he’s all about the one-on-one companionship and would happily soak up all the love and attention for himself. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Cosmo was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Cosmo’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Cosmo’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Cosmo’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
