Meet Cowboy – the softest little outlaw this side of the couch. Cowboy is a tender-hearted guy who needs a bit of time and space to come out of his shell — but once he feels safe, he’s all love. He’ll gently place his paws on your leg when he’s ready for affection, purr his thanks, and then politely let you know when he’s had enough. This boy has excellent boundaries and appreciates a human who respects them. Cowboy thrives in a calm, adult-only home where he can be the one and only pet. He’s not a fan of other animals or children, and would much rather share his world with a quiet companion who understands his rhythm. Churu treats are the key to his heart — offer him one, and you’ll have a new best friend. One of Cowboy’s favorite things is being up high — whether it’s a cat tree, a windowsill, or the top of a shelf, he loves surveying his domain from above like the dignified little sheriff he is. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Cowboy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Cowboy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Cowboy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Cowboy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Cowboy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
