About this Cat
Melon is a stunning mostly-black girl with just a splash of white and a lot of personality. This girl successfully fought a tough eye infection which left her with wonky vision in one eye, but you’d never know it from the way she plays, pounces, and zooms through her favorite tunnel toy! That tunnel isn’t just for play—it’s also her favorite nap spot after a good round of hide-and-seek.She may be a little shy with people at first, but don’t let that fool you. Give Melon time and patience, and she’ll be your BFF for life. She adores sunbathing on the cat tree, indulging in wet food, and going wild for the Cat Dancer toy. She must be adopted with one of her siblings or into a home with another young, playful kitten to keep her company and help her feel safe. She’d do well with gentle children and would likely be just fine with a calm, respectful dog.And importantly, Melon’s eye doesn’t hurt and requires no medical attention—it’s just a special part of what makes her her. Melon is the perfect mix of playfulness and sweetness—if you’re looking for a kitten who’s uniquely beautiful inside and out, she’s your girl.Apply at online application (catsfff.org/adopt)View all of our adoptable cats here (catsfff.org/cats)Our adoption fees are listed here (catsfff.org/adoption-fees)

Adopt Melon and Receive Melon's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Melon's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Melon's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Melon, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Melon's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Melon was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Melon’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Melon’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Melon’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
