Hilo, The 'cute as a button' petite, black and white fur ball who has endless energy and is tons of fun!Hilo is a natural risk taker whose curious nature has her investigating every nook and cranny of her environment. In fact, she found a unique way to do that in her foster home. She actually tried to 'hitch' a ride on her foster dog's back(much to his chagrin)!Hilo loves chasing balls, wand toys and, of course, her two siblings, Rio and Tokyo. In fact, she likes anything that makes noise or that she can chase! After a hard day playing and chasing, she's ready to cuddle up to her siblings or foster family and take a well deserved nap. In fact, her face lights up whenever a person comes into a room. If Hilo had a superpower, it would be climbing! She's a Mount Everest level super climber!Hilo should do well with older children, cats and cat-friendly dogs. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Hilo was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Hilo’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Hilo’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Hilo’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
