Are you looking for a shot of espresso in your day-to-day life? Little Nico may just be the guy for you! This silly boy will zoom his way right into your heart with his saucy sneak attacks on his toy mice (wait, was that just a crumpled up piece of paper?) and his flittering to the feather toys. He’s a clumsy boy who sometimes gets so excited he runs into doors! He adores showing his belly but beware–it is NOT an invitation to scritch. It’s all a front!Nico is a delight to be with and will need to go to a home where his energy can be expended with lots of toys and things to climb on. He would do well in a home with older children who can learn cat body language and can see when Nico is getting a little wound up and needs some space. Nico's not a huge fan of other cats but he gets along well with dogs and could really do well in any fast-paced household. Despite his grown age, Nico is still learning to cat. He could spend hours chasing his tail and has been known to jump in the shower with you to–well we’re not really sure what he’s trying to do in the shower, but it’s too cute not to share. Once he’s finally chilled out, he’ll come cuddle on your lap and spend some time getting some loving from his favorite humans. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Nico (aka Sylvester) was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Nico (aka Sylvester)’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Nico (aka Sylvester)’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Nico (aka Sylvester)’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
