Meet Nilla — The Snuggle Queen with a Heart Full of Love Nilla is a 3-year-old, 47-pound mixed breed beauty who’s equal parts loyal companion and playful sidekick. She’s fully house-trained, incredibly well-behaved, and so trustworthy that her foster doesn’t even use a crate. Nilla is happiest when she’s close to her people—especially if that means snuggling in bed. She loves car rides, squeaky toys, and spending quality time with her humans. She gets along well with other dogs and enjoys playing once she feels comfortable, but she would thrive best in a cat-free home. She hasn’t met kids yet, but her gentle and easygoing nature suggests she could be a great family dog with proper introductions. Her dream home? One with a fenced yard to run and play in, and a person who’s home often—whether working remotely or retired—so she can soak up all the affection she craves. Her foster mom says: “Nilla is one of the sweetest fosters I’ve ever had! She just wants to be with her people 24/7 and get all the love. She’s mild-mannered, pretty quiet, and now loves playing with my dog after a few warm-up days.” Described as friendly, confident, adaptable, happy, and loyal, Nilla is ready to bring her sweet spirit and steady companionship to a forever home filled with love. Nilla is heartworm positive and has already started treatment. Wish Bone will continue to provide treatment through our vet or by supplying the necessary medication for the adopter’s vet to administer. Her minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. She has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Nilla's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Nilla was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Nilla’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Nilla’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Nilla’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
