About this Dog
Pepper is a 4-year-old Rat Terrier mix weighing just 12 pounds, and he’s as sweet as they come. A little on the shy side, Pepper takes his time getting comfortable—but once he does, he’s all heart. He loves to be held, finds comfort in being close to his person, and would happily spend his days following you from room to room. Toys are one of his favorite things, especially when he gets to race around with them. Treats are a close second—he’s always up for a tasty snack. Pepper keeps a nice, clean kennel at the shelter, which shows just how polite and tidy he is. Unfortunately, the shelter environment has been hard on him. The noise and constant activity are overwhelming for this sensitive guy, and he’s not a fan of spending time in his kennel. What he really wants is a quiet, loving home where he can feel safe and be someone’s loyal little sidekick. Caution will need to be taken to keep this little guy safe, as he would be a flight risk if he got loose while still adjusting to his new home. His minimum adoption fee is $300 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Adopt Pepper and Receive Pepper's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Pepper's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Pepper's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Pepper, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Pepper's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Pepper was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Pepper’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Pepper’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Pepper’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
