About this Dog
Meet Bandit, a 14-years-young Chihuahua/Terrier mix who weighs in at a perfect 13 pounds. This sweet and spry senior is full of personality and charm. He’s happiest when he’s following his person around, toy in tow, ready to be part of whatever’s going on. His foster mom says he absolutely lights up every time he makes eye contact or hears someone talking to him, tail wagging like crazy in pure joy. Don’t let his age fool you—Bandit still has plenty of pep in his step and enjoys being part of the action, especially if it means hanging out with his favorite humans. He’s a pretty relaxed guy overall, content to lounge near you with his cherished toy close by. Bandit gets along well with other dogs, though he tends to prefer calm company or a little personal space from time to time. He’s tolerant of his younger foster brother but doesn’t engage in play and may appreciate a home with other older dogs—or none at all. He’s also great with his foster family’s 5-year-old daughter and would likely do well with respectful children of other ages. Whether you're looking for a quiet companion to share the couch with or a cheerful little shadow to keep you company around the house, Bandit might just be your guy. He’s adaptable, affectionate, and more than ready to enjoy his golden years in a loving forever home. His minimum adoption fee is $200 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Adopt Bandit and Receive Bandit's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Bandit's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Bandit's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Bandit, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Bandit's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Bandit was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Bandit’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Bandit’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Bandit’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
