Meet Ricky! Ricky is about a 11 month old lab mix looking for his forever home. Ricky is a very very special boy, he grew up in the shelter as a puppy most of his life. He didn’t even have a name and was almost forgotten about. Luckily, he was rescued. Now it’s time for him to fly the coop after so much progress. He knows sit, down, and paw! Also is potty and crate trained. He absolutely loves to greet people with his toy, just so he can be told what a good boy he is. He can be shy at first, but the second he realizes you are there to love him, he will love you back more than you know. Ricky deserves the perfect family. To help with his confidence and play time, a young playful dog will be required to help guide him. Please consider adopting this perfect angel. The adoption fee of $300 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe breed, since our pups all come from shelters we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! And that is the BEST breed! *please note that we are a foster home based rescue and we do home visits as part of the adoption process - we are unable to adopt to families who live outside of the Chicago and surrounding suburbs. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Ricky was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Ricky’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Ricky’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Ricky’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
