About this Dog
Ruby is a sweet cavalier looking for an experienced patient family that speaks 'dog'. Ruby is a breeder release from a commercial facility. She hasn't had the benefit a dog her age might have who was born in a home. That being said, while she is scared and timid, once she feels safe she is longing to bond with a family. She will likely always be timid. She needs family who will help her slowly decompress and adjust in her own time. Sally is a friendly gentle gal. She needs a fenced in yard for her potty place. She doesn't understand leash walking. Cavaliers tend to be Velcro dogs. They want to be close to a human, Ruby is friendly, wags her tail and then retreats, She wants to be cared for, She needs to relax enough to know she can move forward without fear, She needs a patient adopter without expectations she will change but will give her the time to allow her to if she chooses, Like all dogs, she will need structure and a patient, loving home. We recommend training for all dogs, not only to give Ruby important learning skills, but because you and your dog will create a stronger bond just by going through the training together. Ruby is fully vetted. She has been spayed, received age-appropriate vaccines, and is microchipped. Subsequent vaccines will be at the expense of her adopter. Her adoption fee is $1200..00. She is on the hunt for her own completely committed family. Little dogs can live to be 20+ years old, so Sally wants to be sure her family is all in for better or for worse! IF INTERESTED IN A PUPPY (UNDER 12 MONTHS): You must have a flexible work schedule or someone home all day. Puppies need to be let out to potty often. They need socialization, bonding, and training (housetraining and behavioral training). If you work long hours, have a busy social schedule, or are not financially secure, then a puppy is not for you. We adopt in the local Chicago metro area. We require home visits. If you would like to apply to be considered as an adoption candidate for Ruby, please fill out an application for her adoption on our website at: https://www.rescuetailsanimalwelfare.org/info/adoption. Adopt Ruby and Receive Ruby's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Ruby's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Ruby's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Ruby, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Ruby's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Ruby was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Ruby’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Ruby’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Ruby’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
