Meet Autumn! Autumn is a 6-month-old Cavalier King Charles with a gentle heart and a curious spirit. Though a bit shy at first, she loves to explore at her own pace and blossoms into a playful pup as her confidence grows. Autumn adores other dogs, is great with cats, and, once she feels at ease, is an absolute sweetheart who loves being around her people. Like all puppies, she will need structure and a patient, loving home. We recommend training for all puppies—not only to give her valuable learning skills but because you and your puppy will create a stronger bond just by going through the training together. Autumn is fully vetted. She has been spayed, received age-appropriate vaccines, and is microchipped. Subsequent vaccines will be at the expense of her adopter. Her adoption donation is $1200.00. She is on the hunt for her own completely committed family. Little dogs can live to be 20+ years old, so she wants to be sure her family is all in for better or for worse! IF INTERESTED IN A PUPPY (UNDER 9 MONTHS): You must have a flexible work schedule or someone home all day. Puppies need to be let out to potty often. They need socialization, bonding, and training (housetraining and behavioral training). If you work long hours, have a busy social schedule, or are not financially secure, then a puppy is not for you. We adopt in the local Chicago metro area. We require home visits. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Autumn was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Autumn’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Autumn’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Autumn’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
