Meet Maui – Your Brave, Playful, and Purring Buddy! Maui is a brave little boy with a big heart and boundless kitten energy! He loves everyone—dogs, cats, and people alike. His favorite pastime? Curling up with you and purring non-stop to show how much he loves being by your side. Playful and goofy, Maui brings joy and fun wherever he goes. His adventurous spirit and affectionate nature make him the perfect companion for anyone looking for a kitten full of personality and love. If you want a friend who will keep you laughing and snuggle up for purr-filled naps, Maui is your guy! Maui is fully vetted. He has been neutered, dewormed, vaccinated (age appropriate), microchipped, and is FIV/FELV negative. His adoption donation is $175.00. He is on the hunt for his own completely committed family. Cats can live to be 25 years old, so Maui wants to be sure all applicants will stick with him for better or for worse! PLEASE NOTE: Kittens under 6 months must be adopted in pairs! Some cats also require mates. The pairing is for proper socialization of the kitten to prevent Single Kitten Syndrome. This is for the kitten's future as much as yours. Maui is under 6 months old. We adopt in the local Chicago metro area. We require home visits. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Maui was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Maui’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Maui’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Maui’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
