Splash, Buffett, Phyllis, and Brenda came in with 152 other parakeets to animal control from a hoarding case. They are sweet guys (and gals) who, while they enjoy other birds company, are also enjoying not having such a large flock and plenty of space to fly and explore. They love to hang on their swing and play with their toys. They are healthy and talkative (chirping) when you enter the room or talk to them. They have finally discovered millet but still haven't quite figured out a cuttle bone yet. They don't seem bothered by dogs, cats, or kids checking them out either. Parakeets are very social and need to be adopted in pairs at minimum. They would be great staying together as well. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.

This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Splash, Buffett, Phyllis, Brenda was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Splash, Buffett, Phyllis, Brenda’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Splash, Buffett, Phyllis, Brenda’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Splash, Buffett, Phyllis, Brenda’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
