We are seeking a new home for our beloved dog, Winnie, as we prepare to welcome our first child.
Winnie is a six-year-old, 40-pound rescue dog with a sweet, affectionate personality. She spends most of her time curled up in her dog bed, lounging in the sun, or enjoying quiet time with her people, with occasional bursts of playfulness. She is house-trained, crate-trained, well-mannered in the home, and eager to please the people she trusts. Winnie does not chew or destroy household items and is generally a very easy companion to live with.
Winnie is a sensitive girl who needs a calm, patient pet parent. She can feel unsure around unfamiliar people, especially when they enter her space too quickly, so slow introductions and thoughtful management help her feel safe. Her signals can be subtle when she feels overwhelmed, so her next family should be comfortable providing structure, positive reinforcement, and ongoing behavior support.
Winnie has brought us an incredible amount of joy, and finding the right home for her is our top priority. We are happy to answer any questions, share additional details about her behavior and training, and help with transportation to the right home

How will Winnie receive the contribution?
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Winnie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Winnie's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Winnie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Winnie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Winnie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Winnie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
