About this Dog
CJ is ready to be your BFF ! He loves long walks, true crime podcasts, cuddles and quiet nights watching netflix (when's the new Bridgerton season coming out?) He takes treats very gently and he rarely pulls on walks. Sometimes I have to make sure he hasn't slipped his leash, that's how good he is! CJ is a shepherd mix, almost 2 years old, about 47 pounds. The perfect size pup, according to everyone he meets! He is ready to play with our resident cat and is curious about other dogs. CJ isn't really a barker, but it comes out occasionally. He sleeps all night, but will whine a little in his crate first thing. But, he calms down quickly. He likes kids and people in general, anyone who gives him pets is his friend. CJ is house trained. He is some kind of shepherd, so he gets your attention to go potty by herding you to the door. He is learning to play and loves his toys. He occasionally wants to chew on the wrong thing, but easily and happily redirects to his toys. He's going to be the best addition to your family! If you are interested in adopting/meeting , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application . Your application will be reviewed by our team and if it is a good fit, we will send to the foster family to set up a meet! The adoption fee of $300 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe breed, since our pups all come from shelters we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! And that is the BEST breed! *please note that we are a foster home based rescue and we do home visits as part of the adoption process - we are unable to adopt to families who live outside of the Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Thank you for your understanding.

Adopt CJ and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, CJ's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is CJ's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the CJ, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming CJ's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and CJ was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, CJ’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
"The fun and friendly internet currency."
Dogecoin sets itself apart from other digital currencies with an amazing, vibrant community made up of friendly folks just like you. Dogecoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer digital currency that enables you to easily send money online.
Learn more about it on youtube or at dogecoin.com.
We want the CJ’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, CJ’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
