About this Dog
Ben is a sweet 4 year old Rottweiler/German Shepherd that our family adopted 2 years ago. He is a big, fluffy dog and weighs about 90 lbs. He is up to date on his vaccines, and has a history of heart worm from before we adopted him, but we have treated him and he is on medication to prevent it from recurring. Ben currently lives with one other dog, with whom he gets along, and he is also friendly with children. He is likely not cat friendly, as he's never been with a cat. He has no history of biting, but he can be territorial with his toys before he cozies up to you. Although shy at first, he loves attention, rubs, playing with toys, and he opens up quickly. He is trained for basic commands. He is a medium-energy dog, he loves to play but often he loves to nap even more. Our family unfortunately no longer has the resources to provide the best life for our Benny. Our high demand schedules and financial situation is leaving us with a difficult decision to find Ben a better home where he can receive more attention, exercise, and love. We are looking for someone who loves big dogs like Ben and will make him their new best friend.

Adopt Ben and Receive Ben's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Ben's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

How will Ben receive the contribution?
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Ben, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Ben's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Ben was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Ben’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Ben’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Ben’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
