About this Cat
His name is Izzie. He belonged to my father who recently became an amputee due to a motorcyle accident. Since my father was unable to take care of him, or afford his insulin, I took him in. Things were okay for awhile, then I lost my job and I couldn't afford his insulin either. On top of that, he never got along with my other cat, and they fought a lot. I'm in a lot of debt and can't use CareCredit or take on any more debt to take him to the vet and run tests. Since he has gone off of his insulin, he's become more irritable and gotten into more fights with my other cat and put on weight. She's lost too much weight from stress. I worry about them a lot and know the situation isn't sustainable. Learning about your organization is a bright spot of hope for me and my dad. We want Izzie to be safe and happy and hate the idea of him being euthanized for being too much trouble. He's such a sweet boy and it hurts me to know he's suffering and I can't do anything to help him. Izzie is around four or five years old. He loves cuddling, being held and just sitting by you. He loves ribbon toys and purrs like crazy when he lays on your legs at night. When you're in bed feeling sick or having cramps, he somehow knows to hop onto you and make biscuits. I think he learned to do this from comforting my dad. He doesn't like other cats much, hates dogs, and prefers to live in a world where it's just him and you. He's a great companion. He loves to look out the window and watch birds. We got him a bird feeder and hung it in the window, and it kept him entertained for many hours. He's in Chicago.

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Izzie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Izzie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Izzie’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
