About this Cat
This is Harvey! He is the sweetest little boy and has absolutely stolen my heart. He is super affectionate, loves to cuddle and play, and has a stubby little tail that wags like a dog’s 🤭 I suspect he’s about a year and an half old. I took him in when he strayed into my back yard. He has been fully examined, vaccinated, and boosted. Sadly, he has a heart murmur and he’s cryptorchid (only one testicle has descended) so surgery will be more complex and expensive than the average neutering. I wish I could keep him but he doesn’t get along with my other cats. He’s been staying in my spare room and it’s becoming really cumbersome for me to manage separate free/play/outside time. He deserves a full time parent! I would foster him longer, but I have to move and I won’t have a spare room to keep him separate in any longer. He is a bit tentative and can spook easily so he may be better suited for a quiet home with no other animals, or very docile animals. It’s hard to say exactly how he will do with other animals as I’ve only seen him interact with my male cats. He does not get along with his recently neutered littermate, but he seems to do okay with my older cat who is very docile and was neutered many years ago. I know he’d make an excellent companion for someone that wants a sweet, cuddly boy as their only pet. I live in the Albany Park area. I need to rehome him ASAP. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Harvey's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Harvey was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Harvey’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Harvey’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Harvey’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
