About this Dog
Meet Simba, a sweet and playful 1-year-old pup with a heart full of love despite the rough start he's had in life. Simba is incredibly affectionate—he adores being pet, meeting new people, and just wants to be close to someone who will care for him. Simba’s early life was marked by abuse and neglect. His original owner mistreated him and kept him confined indoors without proper care or affection. The owner gave him away to a roommate that took him in temporarily and gave him a glimpse of the love he deserves. Unfortunately, that roommate had to move out and couldn’t take Simba along. Simba is now alone in an empty apartment, confined to a crate for up to 24 hours at a time. His current owner covered one more month of rent so, Simba could live there alone until a home was found. His situation is critical, and he urgently needs a safe, nurturing environment before his physical and emotional health deteriorate any further. I have agreed to help rehome him. Simba is not reactive, is friendly with people, and has so much potential to thrive in the right home. He just needs a second chance. Please consider giving Simba the loving future he deserves.

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Simba's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Simba was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Simba’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Simba’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Simba’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
