About this Dog
This is Nova! A female, 6 year old, German Shepherd/Huskey mix. We have had her since she was just 4 months old. She’s been with us through many moves, trips, and the birth of both of our 2 daughters. We have loved having her as a part of our family, and unfortunately we have to find a new home and family to love on her and take care of her. We are moving on July 25th to a new state. Our new housing sadly won’t allow pets. We’re looking for someone to take her on and give her the attention she needs. In her earlier years, we regularly exercised and took her on long walks/runs. That’s been hard to do the last couple of years with the birth of our youngest, and we do not have a fenced in yard. She does need regular exercise, whether it’s playing ball, going for a walk, or being able to run in a fenced yard. She does well when at home by herself, and she is house and crate trained. We have no other pets in our home, and I really think she would do best with no other dogs to compete with. I could be wrong though and she might adjust well to a home with other dogs. Please keep in mind that she can be very territorial of her space. She doesn’t like when we have visitors over unless she regularly sees them. She doesn’t like when other pets or our daughters get in her sleep and eating space. My daughters know not to crawl all over her and give her space because of this. However, she loves to play outside in open space and does really well with kids otherwise. We have never had any problems with her being in the house with our daughters. She is up to date on all her vaccinations and is regularly treated for fleas and ticks. Please only message me if you are seriously interested. This has been a hard reality for us to come to terms with and we want to make sure she goes to a home where she will be well loved. ❤️ **** Breed: German Shepherd / Husky **** Pet Link: https://www.nokillnetwork.org/adoption/pet_detail.php?petid=2184443&flag=1

Adopt Nova and Receive Nova's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Nova's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Nova's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Nova, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Nova's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Nova was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Nova’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Nova’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Nova’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
