Meet Rita: Your Happy Companion! About Rita: Rita is a spirited and happy young lady with a big personality. We believe she is a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, she embodies the best traits of the breed with her athletic build, intelligence, and loyalty. She thrives on attention and is eager to be the center of your world. Rita had an outing and spent the day at the home of one of our volunteer couples. They said she was wonderful in their home and enjoyed driving around town. As we learn more about her, we have found that she does get along with some dogs. However, she is selective on which dogs she likes. Because of this, she is not one that would do well in a dog park. Health & Care: Rita is in excellent health, up-to-date on her vaccinations, and spayed. She has an energetic nature and benefits from regular exercise and mental stimulation. Rita responds best to a confident handler who can provide consistent training and guidance. What Rita Needs: Rita is looking for a dedicated and loving home where she can receive the attention and care she deserves. She’s a great fit for an active family or individual who can match her energy and provide her with plenty of playtime, training, and affection. She would do best as the only dog in the household. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Rita's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Rita was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Rita’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Rita’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Rita’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
