- This is one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make because I love Rocket so much.The last thing I ever wanted was to have to find him a new home, but with everything I have going on, I’ve been struggling to give him the time, attention, and consistency he deserves. It breaks my heart because he’s not just a dog to me, he’s part of my family. I just want what’s best for him, even if that means making a decision that hurts me. I want him to have a home where he feels loved, secure, and happy every single day. I’m not looking to just give him away to anyone. I want to find the right person or family who will love him as much as I do and give him the life he deserves.
About this Dog
Rocket is a 1 year old german shepherd mix (best guess) with a big heart and a playful personality! He’s affectionate, energetic, loves people, and enjoys car rides and spending time with his favorite humans.
Rocket can get overly excited when meeting people and struggles with being left alone, so he needs a patient family willing to provide consistent training, exercise, and lots of love.
His ideal home: A loving, active family who will help him build confidence, learn good manners, and feel secure. A fenced yard would be a bonus!
Rocket has so much love to give and deserves a family who will give him the time, patience, and forever home he needs.

How will Rocket receive the contribution?
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Rocket, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Rocket's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Rocket was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Rocket’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Rocket’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Rocket’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
