I was given to a high kill shelter because my family is moving and had a baby. At least that is what they wrote on the paper work they gave the shelter. I didn't like the baby, but I wasn't given time needed to adjust. Sometimes it could take years. I was with this family for only 3yrs. I am almost 7yrs old now and I'd really like a family that won't give me away ever again! I'm thankful PPNK rescued me so I woulnd't die in that shelter. But they say I still need a home. It took a couple months to adjust when I went to a new home last time until I felt comfortable. So, I will need a family who is devoted to me for my life and not give me up and also allow me to get comfortable as long as it takes me. I won't do well in a loud and busy home. If there are children in the home, older/mature kids may do best. My previous owners said I get along with dogs and cats. I just need a chance and I promise I'll be an amazing friend. I love toys and cuddling and wet food treats are my favorite!! An experienced cat person may do best as I can be a little spunky, but I'm all love if you give me time. Aphrodite has already come a long way in rescue. she has now enjoyed being let out to roam and decompress in the cat playroom where she is with other cats too. She will run and greet you and she is all purrs and rubs against your legs! She is a very pretty and deserving girl.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Aphrodite was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Aphrodite’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Aphrodite’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Aphrodite’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
