About this Cat
Pecan Pie is a sweet and spicy little girl. She came from a home that gave her little attention, but since she has been with us she has really come out of her shell. She is always following us around the house (so close that she sometimes trips us up haha). Her favorite thing to do is stretch out on your chest or lap and nap for hours. However, she is also happy to have alone time on her own perch. She is fine with dogs if they give her plenty of space; she doesn’t necessarily want to play with them, but she will stroll around them and give a sniff. Pecan Pie DOES NOT accept other cats in the house, which is unfortunately why we need to rehome her. If you want a cuddly but independent kitty, Pecan Pie is right for you! She owns a hideaway bed, small cat perch, small scratching post, stainless steel litter box, and food/water bowls. We are asking a small rehome fee to help offset costs associated with purchasing those item as well as veterinary care given while we have had her.

How will Pecan Pie receive the contribution?
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Pecan Pie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Pecan Pie's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Pecan Pie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Pecan Pie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Pecan Pie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Pecan Pie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
