Rugby is a sweet and social Pitbull/Mix searching for his forever family! He is estimated to be around 6yr old, and weighs 55lbs. This cutie has a big expressive face that tells you exactly what's on his mind! He is loving and lowkey, and would be a great fit for a retired couple, or a family with a laid back/older household. This friendly boy loves other dogs and meeting new people! Rugby is healthy and has been fully vetted, however Rugby's forever family will need to be mindful of a daily medication he needs to take for a heart/lung condition that he has. He is unable to go for long walks, but does still enjoy a slower paced stroll. He gets excited when food/treats are around but is easily directed and listens well. Rugby is afraid of thunderstorms, and prefers to be around his people versus in a crate (can you blame him!). Sitting on the porch, getting butt scratches, and eating ice chips would be Rugby's ideal day! Rugby is fully vaccinated, and microchipped. He is not neutered due to his heart/lung condition. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Rugby's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Rugby was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Rugby’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Rugby’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Rugby’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
