Meet Micah - Your New Best Friend! Micah is a beautiful, gentle, young Black Lab mix who's ready to find his forever family! We rescued him from the Clayton County Shelter just in time, and we couldn't be more grateful to have saved this precious boy. Micah is about a year old and weighs around 61 lbs. He's the perfect mix of playful and mellow--happy to chase a toy or go for a walk, and just as content to curl up next to you while you relax at home. He's friendly, affectionate, and loves being around people. He's a gentle boy who just wants to be close to his people. He's the kind of dog who leans in for affection, melts into your touch, and follows you from room to room just to be near. He's wonderful with other dogs and does beautifully with kids, making him a fantastic addition to just about any household. Whether you have a busy or a quieter home, Micah will fit right in. He's potty trained, crate trained, and knows his basic commands--he's truly a joy to have around. The fenced yard is not required, but it would make him happy. The regular walks and some playtime will keep this sweet guy smiling. Whether you already have pets or he'll be your one and only, Micah just wants to be loved--and he has so much love to give in return. Micah is neutered, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Micah's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Micah was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Micah’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Micah’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Micah’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
