Jem is a young Collie/Aussie Mix in immediate need of a foster or adopter! She is currently stuck in boarding and would greatly benefit from a loving foster or adoptive family! BarkVille will cover all medical expenses for our dogs while they are in a foster home. She is estimated to be around 2yr old, weighs 45lbs, and has a beautiful tri color coat! This sweet girl came to BarkVille Dog Rescue after spending time at an overcrowded Atlanta shelter, and she would love to decompress in a home! She is timid and shy, but is beginning to come out of her shell. Jem has a gentle and loving demeanor, and will continue to blossom as she gains confidence! She is dog friendly, crate trained, and has a medium energy level. Jem would like a quiet home where she can settle in and learn the ropes! She could be kid friendly, but due to her timid nature, a home with older/no kids would be best at this time. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Jem was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Jem’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Jem’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Jem’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
