About this Cat
Sidi (Sidian)
Sidi is a beautiful young black cat named after Obsidian, the striking black volcanic glass. Estimated to be between 1 and 1½ years old, Sidi first appeared at our home as a pregnant stray looking for food and safety. After raising six healthy kittens, she was spayed, vaccinated, and given a clean bill of health.
While Sidi still carries a little of her feral background, she has made tremendous progress and continues to grow more trusting every day. She is intelligent, playful, and independent, preferring to build relationships at her own pace. Once she feels comfortable, her sweet personality shines through. She even enjoys playing fetch with her favorite ball and will bring it back to be thrown again.
Sidi has adjusted very well to indoor living, but because of her background, she may also do well as a cherished porch cat in a quiet rural setting with caring owners who can provide her with safety, shelter, and affection while respecting her independent nature.
Sidi is looking for a patient, understanding home that will give her the time she needs to settle in and continue building trust. If she could learn to trust after starting life as a stray, there's every reason to believe she will form a strong bond with the right person.
Healthy, resilient, and full of potential, Sidi deserves a second chance at the loving forever home she's worked so hard to find. ❤️

Adopt Sidian and Receive Sidian's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Sidian's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

How will Sidian receive the contribution?
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Sidian, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Sidian's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sidian was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sidian’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Sidian’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Sidian’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
