About this Dog
Zion's BiographyThe Basics:Zion is a stunning, 4-to-5-year-old male pit bull with a striking black and brown brindle coat.Personality & High Energy:Zion is an incredibly active and athletic dog who thrives on motion. He possesses a lot of energy and requires a home or environment with plenty of physical space to run around, stretch his legs, and be active. He absolutely loves long walks and decently long, high-energy play sessions to burn off his stamina.Favorites & Habits:When it comes to toys, Zion is a powerful chewer who eagerly destroys most of them, so heavy-duty, durable toys are a must! On the plus side, he is highly motivated by food and absolutely loves dog treats of any kind.Important Training & Household Needs:Zion will need a patient owner willing to work on foundational training, as he is currently not potty trained.Critical Safety & Behavioral Information (Must Read):Zion has a history of severe dog-to-dog aggression. He has been involved in multiple serious altercations with another dog in his previous household, which unfortunately resulted in a fatal outcome for the other pet. Because of this, Zion strictly cannot be housed with other dogs or pets of any kind. For the safety of everyone involved, he must be placed in a strictly pet-free environment with experienced handlers who can safely manage a powerful, dog-reactive animal.

Adopt Zion and Receive Zion's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Zion's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

How will Zion receive the contribution?
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Zion, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Zion's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Zion was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Zion’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Zion’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Zion’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
