About this Dog
Coco is a sweet, loyal, and intelligent 10-year old boxer-hound mix. She enjoys lounging on her bed, playing tug with her toys, and soaking up on belly rubs. While she can be protective - especially around new people - she warms up with proper, slow introductions. In busy or new environments, we’ve used a muzzle out of caution, mostly for our own comfort. At home, she’s had many positive introductions without one. And her playfulness has made her the life of the party at our home functions. Coco is reactive to dogs and can be protective of her people, especially in unfamiliar environments. During her boarding stays (Pet Paradise College Park) she does well with one-on-one care over group play and her caregivers there adore her funny antics and independent behaviors. She will thrive with experienced dog owners who understand boundaries, structured introductions, and confidence-based handling. At home, she’s low-maintenance and happy to enjoy her own space until she's ready to find you for affection and playtime. She’s fully house-trained — any accidents have only happened when we've waited too long to let her out. She knows basic commands like sit, stay, and place. Coco is crate-trained and responds to the 'go crate' command. We’ve used the crate regularly — during work hours, when service people are visiting, or when we want to give baby freedom to move around the house. She does well in her crate and sees it as her own space. We love Coco dearly and she has been our loyal girl. Unfortunately, with a newborn and changing demands at home we are struggling to provide Coco with the time, energy, and enrichment she deserves. Our priority is finding her a home with an experienced family that understands her and can give her the attention and structure she needs to thrive in her golden years. Coco has done great with our baby (newborn to 11 no) but may do best in a home with older or dog savvy children.

Adopt Coco and Receive Coco's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Coco's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$3 is Coco's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Coco, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Coco's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Coco was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Coco’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Coco’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Coco’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
