About this Cat
I am writing to you today with the help of Chat GPT to advocate for a truly special cat who desperately needs a safe, loving indoor home. Her story began in April, when she chose my garage as a safe haven to give birth to her litter of kittens. Since that day, she has been living safely indoors, proving herself to be one of the sweetest, most laid-back, and non-aggressive cats I have ever encountered. While all of her kittens have successfully been placed into their forever homes, this wonderful mother is still waiting for her own second chance. During the vetting process, one of her kittens tested positive for FIV. Because of this, it is highly likely that she is FIV-positive as well. I would love nothing more than to keep her myself, but my current home situation makes it impossible. I already have three male cats spanning all age groups (a senior, a middle-aged cat, and a juvenile), and they refuse to accept her. Because she is entirely non-aggressive, she does not fight back when they go after her. It is heartbreaking to see her live in fear of my resident cats when she deserves nothing but peace. She has recently been through a TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program, but returning her to the outdoors is not an option I can accept. She has been a fully indoor cat since April, she is completely accustomed to home life, and an FIV-positive status means she needs to stay indoors to protect her immune system and keep other outdoor cats safe. She is roughly two years old and has so much love left to give. She simply needs a quiet home where she can be the only cat, or live with other gentle, FIV-positive feline companions. I am searching for a rescue group or an adopter who understands that FIV-positive cats can live long, healthy, and completely normal lives inside a home.
