About this Dog
ACTIVE, FUN & READY FOR ADVENTURE: Approx. 5 years old / Approx. 29 lbs. Hi, my name is Clay! I joined the Mostly Mutts family when they rescued me from animal control. I’m keeping the volunteers on their toes with my energetic personality. Always on the move and ready for adventure, I look forward to being active with my new family. Let’s exercise together! I also got to spend some time in the prison/foster training program where I had a great time and learned a lot, too! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I recently met dogs in the prison/foster training program, and I was friendly with them. If you have a nice doggie at home already, let’s meet and see if we can be pals. / I met a kitty at Mostly Mutts, and we all agree that I should not live with cats. / I get excited about tennis balls and sometimes try to grab at them, so older teens (15+) may be best. I have done well changing this behavior when my trainer tells me to ‘wait’, and I hold my ‘sit’. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m an active and enthusiastic guy who is playful and ready for fun. If it’s playtime, I am all in and I see many things as toys, so I’ll toss them all around to play! I was well-mannered for my bath, so it was a breeze. I’m a people dog who greets the volunteers with unbridled joy. I’m the kind of dog that will guard my home, car and person when on walks and I have bitten over this. Mostly Mutts has put procedures in place to prevent this and one of our trainers will be happy to work with you to have a successful adoption. / My energy level is 8-10, so I am looking for an active family member to help me direct my energy with fun adventures. I also really need a fenced-in yard in my new home to be successful given my energy level for some fun playtimes with you. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I’ve mastered the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘come’, ‘place’, ‘leave it’ and ‘down’ commands. I also utilize proper door etiquette. I had to work on my ball sharing manners, as I am obsessed with them. My trainer has taught me how to exchange my ball for a treat. I am also doing well with the ‘wait’ command for this behavior. / I can be a bit jumpy getting out of my kennel, as I am super excited to be with the volunteers. / My potty habits were good on the prison/foster training program schedule and at Mostly Mutts. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love being with people and am enthusiastic when they come to spend time with me. I also really love tennis balls, the XL red plastic ball in the MM play yard and squeaky toys. I’m excited for mealtimes, so the volunteers have me using a slow feeder or Kong puzzle which is good for the digestion of fast eaters. The volunteers will sit with me while I eat, and I enjoy their company. As mentioned, I need a fenced-in yard in my new home, to help me work out some of the extra energy that I have with you! / I can’t think of any other dislikes besides those mentioned above, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, EXERCISE and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I’m currently on an inexpensive medication to help with my hyper-focus on balls and some anxiousness at the shelter. I just get so excited when I see a ball. I’m hoping that in my forever home, where there will be lots of balls available, I can feel more relaxed about them and hopefully come off the medication in time. I am looking for a fun-loving family who is dedicated to spending the time with me necessary to meet my energy needs! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Adopt Clay and Receive Clay's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Clay's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Clay's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Clay, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Clay's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Clay was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Clay’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Clay’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Clay’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
